Hello everyone!

Xyren now has five worlds, a new way to choose your linked characters, and one account for the website and community forums! September has also brought collection tracking, more pets, a separate wings slot and trading improvements. The latest round adds fixes for item duplication, banking, skilling and combat movement.

This update covers September 1–11, including the latest economy fixes now live across all five worlds. The month is still underway, so I'll keep this article together as more changes are ready. Some of the additions below are still in an early stage, and I've kept those limits alongside them.

Five Worlds to Choose From

The game now has Worlds 1–5. World 1 is open to players, Worlds 2–4 are for members, and World 5 is reserved for Server Admin use.

You can open the world choices from the globe in the client. The list shows player counts and access labels, making it easier to see where you can play and how busy each world is. You can also see the total number of players across the worlds.

The world selector gives those choices a clearer home in the client. Check the label before moving, particularly if you're choosing a members' world.

Seeing Players Across Worlds

Cross-world presence is available as a beta feature. In supported public areas, players on other worlds can appear as translucent characters, helping the world feel a little more connected.

Those appearances are there for social presence; they aren't extra opponents you can fight. Related chat and overhead speech can help you keep in touch, and the options are available in Miscellaneous settings.

The Wilderness and private instances are excluded. I've also repaired a problem that interrupted cross-world chat and visibility. This is still a feature I'd like feedback on, especially if names, speech or appearances behave oddly after switching worlds.

Your Account and Linked Characters

You can now sign in through the website and choose from the characters linked to your account. The selector includes animated portraits, favourites and scrolling, making a longer character list easier to use.

The login screen has also received purple artwork and a cleaner appearance alongside Game Settings. On Android, I improved keyboard focus in login and search fields, and corrected problems returning from browser sign-in.

Failed reconnects received a fix so you can get back to usable login controls and see what happened. Your usual account-security choices still apply when signing in.

The community forums now use your website account too. That gives you one place for sign-in, registration and account recovery, with your existing linked forum profile and posts kept in place. There's no separate forum password to maintain.

A Journal for Your Progress

The player journal brings the Collection Log and Monster Kill Log together with the Quest sidebar, including search and filtering in the supported views. It's a more useful place to check your progress than trying to remember a reward message from earlier in the week.

Existing lifetime kill records are retained. Collection credit begins with supported rewards received after tracking was introduced; older collections aren't filled in automatically. I don't want to promise a complete history that the game hadn't recorded.

As more rewards are supported, the journal should become a nicer place to follow the things you're working towards. For now, check the available entries for what is tracked.

More Pets and a Place for Wings

Pet support has expanded to 88 permanent pets, with 52 pet definitions added or corrected in this round. The updated reward sources include supported bosses, Slayer, skilling, random events and Barrows.

Some pets still have unfinished ways to obtain them, so the total doesn't mean every pet is available through normal play yet. I'll keep the announcements clear about what you can actually collect as that work continues.

Wings now have their own equipment slot. You can wear a supported pair separately from your cape and amulet, with the website's character preview updated to reflect the extra slot too.

Summoning Followers

Summoning pouches now support 146 familiar entries. With the required Summoning level and points, a supported pouch can bring out its familiar to follow you in an eligible area.

This first version provides passive followers. Familiar combat, special moves, foraging and item storage are still unfinished. A familiar following you around doesn't yet mean it has all of the abilities you might expect from it.

You can dismiss your follower when you're finished. I'm treating this as the first step for Summoning, with further abilities needing their own update when they're ready.

Membership and Storage

Membership improvements cover access to the members' worlds and the storage and activity benefits attached to each tier. Tickets provide 30 days, with up to 90 days held at a time.

The work also covers the relevant bank tabs, Grand Exchange slots, daily-task limits and portable-storage features. Toolbelt and Construction limits received attention as part of those changes.

Benefits vary by tier, so use the information shown for your membership when deciding what applies to your character. Please report anything that doesn't behave as expected after activating membership or returning to the game.

Better Banking

Withdraw-All now takes the amount your inventory can actually hold and leaves the rest in your bank. If you've got five free spaces and you're withdrawing ordinary items that don't stack, you'll receive five of them. You don't need to keep choosing a smaller withdrawal amount yourself.

I've also corrected the handling of stackable items and withdrawals as notes. The quantity removed from your bank matches what reaches your inventory, and bank placeholders are kept when enabled. When there isn't room to receive anything, your items stay in the bank.

Trading and Equipment

The Item Set Exchange now supports 69 recipes. You can inspect a set, pack the required pieces together or unpack it again. Check the recipe and leave enough inventory space before exchanging.

Grand Exchange Insight received a fix for a disconnect when opening it through a clerk. Trade-progress messages are also easier to read, especially for larger quantities, and the exchange screens received improvements to scrolling and overlapping panels.

Item delivery at the end of a trade has also received further protection against duplication. Both players still review their offers and confirm the exchange through the usual screens.

Equipment information has been expanded, including more useful statistics and item comparisons. Some weapon specials are still unfinished, so an item's appearance in the statistics screen shouldn't be taken as an announcement that every ability has been added.

Smithing, Furnaces and Superheat

Smithing now handles the selected recipe's materials and finished quantity correctly, including ammunition batches. Ongoing production also checks that you still have the required level, hammer and supplies before making the next batch.

Furnace work received similar fixes for its ingredients and finished output. The normal recipes and quantities are preserved, including recipes that need more than one type of material.

Superheat now checks that the smelting can be completed before using your runes. Spell experience is awarded when the item is successfully made. That should make an unsuccessful attempt a lot less frustrating when you're short of an ingredient or don't have room for the result.

Crafting and Jewellery

Leather, hide and jewellery crafting received fixes to recipe selection, material use and batches. Changing crafting choices now clears the previous selection properly, and jewellery uses the complete set of materials needed for the piece you're making.

The familiar recipes keep their usual costs and results. If you enjoy working through a stack of crafting supplies, the aim is for each completed item to use exactly what it should.

Dragon square shield assembly has also been corrected. You can use either half on the other, with both halves used to make one shield when the usual requirements are met. Combining them works with a full inventory too, since using the halves makes room for the finished shield.

Potion Decanting

I've fixed dose-handling problems both when combining potions by hand and when using the inventory decanting service. The resulting doses now stay consistent with the potions you've supplied.

Normal potion combinations and the service's usual fee are preserved. You can keep tidying up those partly used bottles before your next trip.

Combat Movement and Facing

I've also worked on how your character approaches and faces monsters, particularly larger ones. Combat movement now looks for a reachable attack position around walls and other obstacles. Melee combat also handles a player and monster standing on top of one another more sensibly, moving them apart when there's a clear route.

Ranged attacks now judge distance from the nearest edge of a large monster, and manually cast spells follow their target properly. I've corrected player and NPC facing too, so they turn towards the target's centre.

There's still ordinary gameplay to check here, especially around moving bosses and awkward scenery. Please let me know if your character gets stuck, approaches from an odd direction or faces the wrong way during a fight.

Rewards and Ground Items

Mystery boxes now stack, and reward handling has improved when your inventory is full. Eligible rewards can arrive as notes; items that still cannot fit may appear on the ground for you to collect. It's worth checking around your character after opening a box with limited space.

Pure essence notes now stack properly, including when adding them to an existing stack. Ordinary unnoted pure essence keeps its usual behaviour.

Xyren credit redemption has also been repaired: one tradable credit item adds five account credits. Nex reward delivery received a fix, and rare-drop chat messages now display readable highlighting.

Very rare NPC rewards now receive automatic announcements too. Your qualifying rare drops get magenta ground labels and outlines in the updated client, making them easier to spot after a kill. The configured drop rates and reward quantities stay the same.

Ground-item collection received several duplication and quantity fixes. These cover items entering your inventory, coins going into your pouch and arrows being added to an equipped stack. Personal rewards in instances now retain their full quantity, and already having the same item won't prevent you from collecting a separate eligible reward. A pickup leaves the item in place when there isn't room to receive it.

I've repaired the affected quest-item pickups too. Eligible players can each collect their own copy, and recovering a lost item still follows the quest's usual rules. Overlapping drops also received a fix so an available item on the same tile remains selectable.

Ground-item timers have changed as well:

Existing Wilderness, PvP and tradeability exceptions still apply. Please collect valuable items promptly rather than relying on the full timer in every situation.

Help, Ideas and a Better-Looking Client

The community Discord has a dedicated ideas forum with tags and replies, plus a prominent channel for downloads. Private support remains available when you need help with an account or a problem while playing.

The website menu is more consistent across account pages and the exchange, making the usual destinations easier to find on desktop and mobile.

I've also worked on terrain, water, disappearing walls, armour appearance and social screens. Some phone texture problems remain, and I'd still like reports of graphics that look wrong during ordinary play.

I've replaced the remaining old game-name labels in character creation, logout, the mailbox and default clan text with Xyren. Update and reopen your client to receive the latest visible changes.

The client has seasonal artwork too. Further Windows launcher improvements are still being prepared; the website's download options show what's currently available.

A Look at What's Being Made

The Spectral Knight set has grown to eleven cosmetic pieces, with dark clothing and glowing details. Infernal cape appearances are also being worked on.

These are previews of unfinished content. They don't yet have ordinary reward sources, and this update doesn't add an Inferno minigame. I'll give them a proper introduction when their appearance and ways to earn them are ready.

Other Changes

So what's next?

For the rest of September, I want to keep checking item interactions, improving normal play across the worlds and working through the remaining mobile issues. The new followers, pets and cosmetic work also have more to come. These fixes cover the problems reviewed so far, and reports from ordinary play are still useful. If something isn't right, please use Support or the community channels and include what you were doing, the item or monster involved, your world and your client version. For a trade problem, the approximate time helps too. Those details are a real help.

All the best, Austen
